START (St Andrews Rehabilitation Therapies) is a sports medicine clinic which has recently opened working in partnership with the University of St Andrews.  The staff consist of two physiotherapists, a sports medicine doctor, massage therapist and podiatrist.

We are located at the University Sports Centre and are open to all members of the public.

Our aim is to get you in the best possible condition to do your job, excel at your chosen sport or improve your comfort in doing day to day tasks.

We have access to all the equipment in the gym and there is plenty of room to go through exercises and even set up a full rehabilitation program.

Britain's Greatest Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave was hosted by START in an evening lecture to the staff and students of the University Medical School. We all heard about the dedication and focus required to get to and stay at the top of his field. Inspirational stuff from a pure gentleman.

START is proud to be associated with a challenge that can only be described as daunting. In June, 5 students will attempt to cycle about 4000km across Africa to raise money for charity. It is going to take about 2 months of leg burning, lung busting, bottom shaking pain!!! We all know and have sponsored someone to run the marathon or walk 5 miles, but this is a little bit bigger, harder and scarier.

Please check out the website and give to a very worthy cause.
