Bernie Li is the founder of START and lead physiotherapist. He grew up in Melbourne and graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1997 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy.

He moved to the UK in 2000 and has travelled extensively for 3 years before working with the Ministry of Defence in Portsmouth, Faslane and RAF Leuchars. He has also worked for the NHS in St Andrews for 6 years while also running a private practice in Cupar (ReCuparate Physiotherapy).

Being a proud Australian he grew up competing to district level at cricket, tennis and triathlons. He found his true passion in golf in Scotland and moved to Fife in 2004. The highlight of his sporting career is winning the St Andrews Golf Club Championship in 2008 and representing the club at the World Club Championships in Beijing. He is a scratch golfer and TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Certified Physiotherapist.
